We bought a washer and dryer and I’m pretty sure that means we’re legitimate adults now

August 22, 2012

Something about owning your own major appliances seems grown up in a way that paying bills and working 40 hours a week doesn’t.  Speaking of appliances, we can add “garbage disposal installation” to our list of skills. Picture Mike and me under the sink wearing our headlamps wrestling with a 30 pound cylinder at 11:00 on a Sunday night.  We were so excited that were were able to install it correctly the first time (heck yeah we did!), we had to make a video (a NOAW first! Watch how I can hardly contain my excitement as I chime in at the end).

Sound of angels, indeed. After my phone stopped filming we did a little victory lap around the kitchen. Maybe it was more like a victory circle because our kitchen isn’t that big.  Either way, dancing around in the kitchen will always be my favorite way to celebrate. Huzzah!
