Summertime in { Eight }

May 22, 2012

My favorite family vacation – Nassau, Bahamas

The ladies over at City in a Jar are getting ready for summer (this word will forever remind me of the old SNL skit about Donna Summer…y’know, summer donna. Summa….donnnnnah. Did that just shoot my nerd cred through the roof or what?) by making a list of all the things they want to do before labor day. Since I love me some lists, I got to working on one of my own. Here’s my top eight to-do this summer:

1. Stand-up paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake

2. Grow lettuce on the patio (We already have a head start on the peppers!)

3. Downsize my growing collection of crap things I could probably live without.

4. Get my grill on. M and I have done some grilling so far but I’m looking forward to grilling outside the box (cherry tomatoes and watermelon, anyone??)

5. Take more pictures.

6. Start running. Again. For the third time. Ok, maybe it’s really the fourth time…

7. Read more.

8. Send some snail mail lovin’ to my friends around the country.

Are you making lists for your summer plans, too? Did anyone youtube that SNL skit?
