January 18, 2012

This morning I got up early (8:30! On a work day!) planning to work out and make a good breakfast before jumping in the shower and heading to work. I thought maybe I would even make it to run a few errands before 11:00 rolled around. Good plans right? I love being productive before my 10 hour shift.

What really happened was this: I woke up at 8:45 to a nearly flooded kitchen. Apparently, my garbage disposal malfunctioned at some point and has been leaking consistently, filling my cabinet and a lot of the floor. Sweet, right? Spent the better part of an hour trying to clean that foulness up and completely lost my appetite. I figure, I might as well keep cleaning since I was a roll…when I discover a present left by my four legged friend, Juno. Ok, she’s really cute so sometimes she gets away with being a rotten cat, but seriously? Not cool.

The offender, Juno, looking awfully guilty.

OH! And if that wasn’t enough, a bird pooped on my purse:

Truth be told, this actually happened Saturday, but sort of fit into the kind of morning I had.

Not a good start, but I was able to salvage my morning with an extra large caramel macchiato and a bagel.

Tomorrow (today really….it’s just a little past midnight) happens to be one of my days off this week—I’m planning (hah—see how well that worked for me this morning?) to run some errands, make some yummy food for my lunches for the rest of the week, and read.

Peace and Love, y’all! And may you never have to clean bird shit off any of your belongings 🙂
